Balloon angioplasty

A surgical procedure that uses balloons can help people who have atherosclerosis. That's a condition in which the arteries become blocked with plaque. It is especially serious in the coronary arteries -- that supply the heart muscle with blood and oxygen -- where severe blockage can cause heart attacks.
